Rubber Formulation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize rubber compound formulations as per product requirements and customer specifications
• Conduct lab trials and validations to evaluate compound properties and performance
• Analyze and adjust raw material proportions to achieve targeted physical and chemical properties
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure successful scale-up of developed formulations
• Maintain systematic documentation of formulations, trial reports, and process parameters
• Evaluate alternative raw materials for cost optimization while maintaining quality standards
• Assist in troubleshooting formulation-related issues during production and provide technical support

Skills

• Strong knowledge of rubber polymers, chemicals, and compounding processes
• Understanding of physical and rheological testing of rubber compounds
• Ability to analyze compound failures and implement corrective actions
• Knowledge of rubber processing equipment and laboratory testing instruments
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Polymer / Rubber
