Rubber Cord

Round and solid rubber extrusions designed for gasketing, spacing, and sealing applications.

Simple geometry. Versatile use

Rubber cords are solid, round extruded profiles used for sealing and support applications. They are supplied in continuous lengths and can be cut, spliced, or joined as required. Rubber cords are commonly used where flexibility and uniform cross-section are needed.

TYPES (RUBBER CORD)

Solid Rubber Cord

Solid rubber cords are extruded with a uniform circular cross-section. They are used as compression gaskets, spacers, or sealing elements. The profile provides consistent performance under compression.

Spliced/ Vulcanized Rubber Cord

Rubber cords can be spliced and vulcanized to form endless rings. The vulcanized joint provides strength and continuity across the seal. This option is used where seamless sealing is required.

Custom Rubber Cord

Custom rubber cords can be produced in application-specific compounds. Material selection is based on temperature, chemical exposure, and operating conditions. Both standard and custom formulations are available.

Sponge Rubber Cord

Sponge rubber cords are used where low compression force is required. They provide flexibility and effective sealing on uneven surfaces. These cords are selected for cushioning and insulation applications.

Material Specific Rubber Cord

Rubber cords can be manufactured in different elastomers. Material choice depends on environmental and functional requirements. Options include general-purpose and specialty compounds.

Standard dimensions

NOTE:The above seal profile type 4 are standard sizes available with us. However seal dimensions can be customized as per client specification, if required. The inflation gaps and AIV options are recommended by us. They can be customized as per client specifications. Seals can be fabricated in materials like Silicone, EPDM, Neoprene, Nitrile, Natural Rubber, Viton etc..
